Dr Sinha is currently the Director of Diabetes and Endocrinology and Senior Eminent Staff Specialist Physician, Cairns Hospital in North Queensland, Australia. He holds a conjoint academic appointment as Clinical Associate Professor in Medicine with James Cook University, Cairns. In 2012 he was awarded the Royal Australasian College of Physician Medal for outstanding Clinical services to rural and remote area. He is an examiner in Internal Medicine for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians(RACP). He is also a Council member of the Australian Diabetes and Endocrine Societies and Coordinator for Endocrine Training, Specialist Advisory Committee for Endocrinology, RACP. He was in the Programme organising committee for the World Diabetes Congress, Melbourne 2013. His major interest is in Type 2 Diabetes, Obesity, Indigenous health and General Endocrinology.
Dr Nirjhar Nandi (FRACP – Diabetes & Endocrinology) Dr Nandi is an Australian trained Endocrinologist. He currently holds consultant staff specialist position at Cairns Hospital and consultant VMO position at Cairns Private hospital. He is also the clinical director of Internal Medicine at Cairns Hospital. He has interests in Diabetes & General Endocrinology. He has an additional interest in Obstetric Medicine. He possesses one of the best qualities as a doctor - a great listener. While considering management plan, he never fails to include quality of life of his patients. Other than clinical work, Dr Nandi is actively involved in teaching and training of junior doctors at Cairns Hospital and medical students from the James Cook University. Dr Nandi is a member of Endocrine Society of Australia, Australian Diabetes Society and Endocrine Society of America.
